HDR, PORTRAITURE, URBAN, LANDSCAPE, UNDEFINED

I was born in Bruges on June 23, 1948.
I'm a single grandmom of 15 grandchildren, my most wonderful models and I live in an old farm near to Bruges.
Photography has been my hobby since many years. It became a passion when I went to the Photography Academy (evening school) in 1996. I studied during 3 years analogue technics and started my own dark room. When digital technics appeared, I discovered new possibilites, using Photoshop as a 'dry dark room' and applying my analogue skills in a new way. But I'm still an addict of the old technics and shoot many film rolls - digitalizing my negatives - even today.
Since 3 years, I'm pre-retired and I'm finally able to focus fully on my passion : photography.
I'm proud of a few awards which are very important to me. I won the bronze lens at the International Photo Festival of Knokke-Heist in 2000. I won a the 'Best Journalism' award in Germany in 2001. Some of my work was published in Poland and a biography appeared in a famous Photography Magazine over there. I also got a few awards and exhibitions in Holland and in Belgium.
I love to share my work with as many people as possible because that gives me a great satisfaction and it will be always a great stimulans to improve my skills.
Robert Capa is one of my favorite photographers and his words 'If your photographs aren't good enough, you're not close enough' always are in my mind. I put all my emotions in my images and try to catch the soul of it, whatever the subject is : people, landscapes, cityscapes, street photography, moments in life.
